PT, CSCS
I am a Roaring Fork Valley native. My Parents moved to Aspen from Sonora, Mexico in the early 90’s. I graduated from Aspen High School before continuing on to get my Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science and eventually my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
While completing my doctoral degree I worked as a certified strength and conditioning coach, which allowed me to gain valuable experience working with athletes of all levels. Some of my physical therapy experience includes working at UCHealth, Aspen Valley Hospital, and most recently at Valley View Hospital.
Core Values:
Family, community, gratitude and altruism are some of the core values that drive my life. These values have led me to pursue a career that allows me to spend my days helping others. They have also led me back to the area I grew up in.
“The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Fill your life with love. Scatter sunshine. Forget self, think of others. Do as you would be done by.” – Norman Vincent Peale

I am currently specializing in the treatment of headaches, migraines, TMJ and neck related pain categorized as “Orofacial” pain through the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. I want to help patients that are living a life of chronic pain and discomfort, resulting in uncertainty and reliance on medication.
I enjoy treating headache/migraine, tempromandibular disorders, dizziness/vertigo, and athletes return to sport. I like the ability to connect with patients and meet them where they are.
When I’m not working, I am playing soccer, weight training, cooking, traveling or listening to music or an audiobook.
I can’t thank Beyond Borders Physical Therapy & Dr. Jorge enough! After a nasty mountain bike accident led me to shoulder surgery I walked into Dr. Jorge’s office looking for a physical therapist that could get me back to biking and hunting as quickly as possible. I landed in the right place. 6 weeks post surgery I was pulling my bow back at full weight and 10 weeks after shoulder surgery I took a nice elk with my bow. I never thought that would be possible so quickly! Through this process, Dr. Jorge has become a good friend and colleague. Thank you for such an incredible recovery!
All other options failed and every doctor stated I’d never get any better after 18 months of insane occipital neuralgia and tinnitus. I researched other options and found Jorge. After every visit, I only felt better and better. Haven’t taken a single med since and no need for the surgery the doctors were pushing for. SUPERB customers service from start to end. This guy can literally give you your life back!!! Even my kids see him and get work out routines, health pointers, and so much more!
Dr. Esparza honestly changed how I live my life after a couple of appointments I found myself being less stiff and sore and far more flexible than I’d ever been. I work in construction and consistently mess up my body and he was able to give me preventative stretches and workouts to make my body healthier. He also talks me through everything he’s doing and why he’s doing it, especially so if it’s something new. He keeps the environment very clean, calm, and peaceful environment that always feels welcoming. I would recommend Dr. Esparza to anyone.
